About Me
Michael Huffman, MBA, CLTC
I have been helping individuals, families, and businesses with their insurance planning needs since 2001. One of the main things I have learned during that time is that everyone’s needs and wants are unique and a cookie cutter approach to planning does not work. I started my insurance career as a captive agent meaning I could only sell products from one company. Knowing this system limited my ability to provide solutions based on my client’s unique needs, I became an independent broker. Today, I have access to over 50 companies allowing me to provide customized income replacement plans, life insurance, long-term care solutions, and annuities to my clients.
My wife Kim and I have been married for 30 years and live in Raleigh, NC. Our daughter is an officer in the Navy and our two sons live in Raleigh with their wives and we recently became grandparents for the first time (actually, twice in a twelve-day period!).
Growing up in Louisiana, I received a BS from Louisiana Tech University and an MBA from Louisiana State University. After spending twelve years in various corporate financial planning roles, I began my financial services career.
